Where are you located? Are you in Thailand now, or hoping to visit the place sometime? What first led you to discover the language?

(In my own case, it was by assignment to the northeastern province of Khorat during the Vietnam Era that I delved into a self-study of standard Thai.)

Also, are you a guy or girl? If a guy, you should almost always use the pronoun ผม to refer to yourself, rather than ฉัน. If a girl, then certainly continue with ฉัน.

Sex identity matters somewhat more in Thai than it does in most Western languages.
