Friends,
I want to wish all of you a very Happy New Year for this happiest of New Year’s ever. For this is the year 2”555” which is doubly happier than the last occasion, 1,000 years ago.
New Year’s Day is a great opportunity to express my thanks to people who are responsible for Thai-language.com site.
First I want to express my thanks to Glenn Slayden, the founder, creator, and operator of Thai-language.com. He started this site almost 14 years ago and he continues as a major factor in Thai language learning for people around the world. His knowledge of Thai, his systems and linguistics expertise, and his ability to inspire creativity in others have resulted in the compilation of language learning material which is of great benefit to novice and advanced learners alike. Glenn continues to maintain the dictionary, the lessons, and reference material, and these forums without intrusive and annoying advertising.
Second I want to express the gratitude of all of us feel toward our Thai nationals and native speakers who give of their time and efforts to answer our questions; translate our messages; patiently read and answer our language questions; and bear with our through our ignorance.
Finally, thank you to all the participant in the T-L.com forums who share a common interest in Thai language and Thai culture. Whether you are Thai language and linguistic experts or are beginning students filled with questions, or somewhere in between, you have all contributed significantly to our common and individual learning of this marvelous language.
