Hey all I am new to the forum but not new to forums all together. I am currently a moderator at a Thailand based forum for people in relationships with Thai women.

Any way I am a 26 year old male from Australia and love to get to Thailand as often as I can. I have a Thai Finanee who I whave been with for over 16 months now. We are currently in tyhe process of getting a Finance Visa for her to come and live in Australia. I am slowly learning the language and being able to communicate more and more with her family. She speaks good English so we do not have many issues with communication. To make things harder my Fiances native tongue is Issan rather then Thai so I have 2 languages to learn. I feel starting with Thai is the best way then move onto Issan when I have more knowlegde of this language

I have used this site for about 2 years now but never knew there was a forum for it until now 555. I am sure that it will be a great help to me and learning the language. My aim in life is to one day be able to move to Thailand while supporting myself and (future) family with money earned in Australia from Property Investments.

Good on ya. I lived in Thailand for a couple of years and never learned isan other than Pay say and Pay haa muu and Paksida.

My understanding is that isan is basically Thai except half of the vocab has changed to lao words(I could be wrong on that since I never learned Isan)

I suspect that learning central Thai first would be best no matter what.
