Dear all, I have some problems about the following passage:

มาลีเล่าว่า เมื่อวานนี้น้องชายเขาเวียนหัว ท้องเสีย คอแห้ง ไม่มีเสียง มีไข้สูง เขาเลยไม่มาโรงเรยน เขาพาน้องชายมาหาหมอที่ร้านหมอข้างหน้าโรงเรียน

มาลีถามหมอว่า น้องชายควรทานยาที่หมอเคยให้เขาไหม หมอว่าไม่ควรทาน หมอให้ยาใหม่ ยาของน้องชายมีหลายสี มีสีเหลือง สีขาว สีเขียว หมอไม่ให้น้องชายมาโรงเรียน ให้เขานอน ห้ามเขาใช้เสียง เขาทานยาใหม่ที่หนอให้มา(1)เมื่อวานนี้

เมื่อเช้ามี้มาลีมาโรงเรียน เพื่อนเพื่อนถามเขา เขาว่าน้องชายของเขาหายเวียนหัว มีไข้ไม่สูงเท่าไหร่(2)แล้ว

2. ไม่...เท่าไหร่
this is the pattern for the use of เท่าไหร่ negatively, with the meaning of "not so" not so much"

I am of a different opinion: I think that the มา here indicates direction, not tense. Claude is correct in that เมื่อวาน indicates the temporal element of the sentence. ให้มา in this context, I believe, implies in a literal sense ". . . the medicine that the doctor directed to be brought to the brother to ingest". If I were to render the sentence in English, it would be,

"He took the medicine that the doctor ordered yesterday."

Or does it mean "He's taking the medicine that the doctor gave (to) him yesterday" ?
