Do we have other words spelt in the same way as ก็?

For the word ก็ (which might have been borrowed from Khmer, but disputes remain), the tone and vowel are irregularly marked here. Do we have some other words like บ็ น็ ภ็ ค็ ง็ ช็ ม็ etc?

No, only the word ก็ is exceptional.

Thanks Nan. According to some researchers, it was written in the First Stone Inscription of King Ramkhamhaeng as ก่ (Black Thai also writes it as ก่). It was different in the period of Sukhothai.

Am I right in thinking that the Isaan word for 'no' is spelt 'บ่' ?

In Northern Thai (คำเมือง) the equivalent is ก่อ (low tone and often short like ก็ should be pronounced, strictly speaking) unless I'm mistaken. It can also be used as a question particle - unless these are two different particles in Northern Thai and I am simply unaware.

Interested to learn more if anyone knows :?:

Some fonts don't show the nikkahit properly.

Officially, the word is also standard Thai.

Not quite. It is not used in central Thai, every day conversation unless one wants to have fun with the word. This word is mostly used in poems or songs of the older generation. Unless you speak I-saan, I would not recommend using it.
