the dictionary here says: bpra wat ...
my phone dictionary pronounces it: bra wat dti ...

so one time ติ is ommited like I am used to from words like... ชาติหน้า and many others... but the other dictionary actually pronounces the ติ... anyone knows which I as a foreigner should rather say? thx

In fact, I don't know how you could pronounce the sara-i because then you would have ประ วั ติ ศาสตร์, which contradicts the spelling rule for mai han agart.

The correct pronunciation ofประวัติศาสตร์ is "bpra-wat-dti-sat" because it's from ประวัติ+ศาสตร์, when it's compounded ติ has to be pronounced as a syllable too.

But later, the pronunciation "bpra-wat-sat" is also acceptable.

Notice that, as Khun Nan pointed out, the RID shows two alternative pronunciations:
