I was chatting with a Thai girl when she threw out this phrase. 'Tor lea' . She then seemed embarrassed and would not say what it meant. Said some words I did not need to know.

Anyone?

Hi RBK,
It sounds like she was calling you a liar:

ตอแหล(Tor-Lair)=To tell a lie/bullshit.

I may be wrong,as you haven't typed the word in Thai script, but you should be able to work out if this sounds correct.
Hope this isn't bad news,good luck,Spacemaff

I notice this word isn't in the thai-language.com dictionary,so maybe Glenn or Bryan would like to add this next time they update the dictionary, but with a better definition than mine :)

I told her I talked with another Thai girl on MSN, but just as a friend, so no need for her to get upset.

I hope it's not bad news as well.
