Is it possible he's trying to identify two separate traits?.....งอน = irritable/ill-tempered and (กับ) ง้อไม่เป็น = unable to make up/reconcile.......so his warning would include the fact that foreigners are irritable and unable to make up.

I think being sulky and then not being able/willing to reconcile would be งอนแล้วง้อไม่เป็น. For example:

ใครมีแฟนขี้งอนแล้วง้อไม่เป็น มาดูวิธีง้อง่ายๆแต่ได้ผลให้ลองเอาไปทำดู

I think "งอนง้อไม่เป็น" (dont know how to reconcile) or "งอนแล้วง้อไม่เป็น" (sulky then dont know how to reconcile) seem to be more common things to say than "งอนกับง้อไม่เป็น" (dont know how to 'be sulky and reconcile') but perhaps thats what he meant...

Mind you my Thai isnt that great, and I havent read this book! Perhaps someone can correct me.

I see in today's BP that Andrew is providing Thai language instruction on Thai Channel 99 (True) MCOT. I don't have a True schedule...can anyone provide a time when his show comes on?

"Tongue Thai’d is a TV program on MCOT World (Channel 99 on True Visions) that teaches you how to read and speak Thai. The program is hosted by Andrew Biggs."
He provides pdf's for his early lessons at andrewbiggs.com/tongue-thai-d.html
