It still doesn't tell me what the ล.พ.ช. is or was. There are some references to it in the examples in the 26-year old Peace Corps/Thailand Northern-Central Thai Dictionary. Probably the most informative example is หมูกู้ใดห⁠ยะเอาคืนหื้อ ล.พ.ช. 'Which pair of pigs should be returned to the ล.พ.ช?'

The abbreviation list is standard Thai only - or, if there are exceptions, I haven't seen any.

Lol we should make a rule. If you can't understand a Thai word which has a ร or ล always check if there is a word with the other one.
