That site would be great but I think bilingual books would be a bad idea for me as i'd just cheat, I prefer reading through and checking later.

Sure there are a few thai sites that ship internationally it's just had to make out the script faqs etc.

They all arrived within a couple days, all good. Bit annoying paying four times the 'baht' cost on the back but ah well at least it's an option.

This might not be the type of children's book you are looking for, but this website: http://issuu.com/dlibth allows you to download some classic children's books from Thai Elementary school reading. Most people in their 20s+ should know this story, so it has cultural relevance too. And you can always analyze them as an adult to see what the government was trying to teach Thai children too.

It's the "Manee" books. You can also read them on http://learningthai.com. I think there was a link in the past to a site where you could download the books.
