Please don't interrupt me

What's a polite way to tell someone to stop interrupting you when you are speaking? Obviously in some situations หยุดพูด and หุบปาก are inappropriate and in any case they don't mean the same as 'Please don't interrupt me/please stop interrupting me'

Probably could be, if it's polite enough for the situation intended.

is พูดแทรก used when a 3rd party interrupts/butts into a conversation or can it also mean somebody who doesnt let someone else finish (talks over) what they are saying?

ใช้ได้ทั้งสองสถานการณ์ค่ะ although the latter implies that the listener is not a good listener.

That sure is a mouthful to spit out if someone’s interrupting you. It also doesn’t carry ANY emotive value as far as even mild vexation from the person saying it either.

How about giving a Thai translation along the lines of; “I wish you’d wait until I was done speakin’ before you butt in.”?

Then again, that might run counter to the O/P’s request for a “polite” way to couch things in Thai ;) . You might have noticed, politeness ain’t one of my strong suits in English or Thai :o

Also; not to "pick nits" at the poster known as “DonSena” (especially as their grasp of Thai is leaps and bounds above mine), but I think that word is your sentence is spelled with an not an , like สนทนา. :)

There are so many ways to say that, but which one is good depends on situation.

If you are trying to explain something and people keep interrupting you, then you can say "ฟังผมพูดให้จบก่อนได้ไหมครับ"

Other saying might be:

อย่าเพิ่งขัดจังหวะไ้ด้ไหมครับ

อย่าเพิ่งพูดแทรกได้ไหมครับ
