I'm reading about a Museum in Sukhothai, called Sawanworanayok National Musum. Apparently it's also called Sawankhaworanayok. I read the history page at: http://www.thailandmuseum.com/thaimuseu ... istory.htm
and then, I looked (or, more like, stared) at the page's Thai version: http://www.thailandmuseum.com/sawakhavo ... istory.htm

I asked Google Translate to pronounce the name: พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติสวรรควรนายก
The ending sounded more like: "Sawan Kwanayok" or "Sawankwanayok"??? Definitely not like Sawanworanayok.

I guess (from the history page) that the museum is named after Phra Sawanworanayok, the former abbot of Wat Sawankharam and the Supreme-Monk of Sukhothai.
But judging by the Thai name, is "Sawan Kwanayok" or "Sawankwanayok" truly the correct way to pronounce the museum's name?

I checked the Thai letters against the RTGS, but I'm not sure I got it right (I apologize for the horrible mistakes I'm about to make trying to decipher the letters ):

Yes, I agree with her about how to pronounce it.

By the way, the name of that Abbot was "พระสวรรค์วรนายก.” But I also found the name of the same Abbot was “พระสวรรควรนายก” from another site.

As for the Museum’s name, “พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติสวรรควรนายก”, should be the same as “พิพิธภัณฑสถานแห่งชาติสวรรค์วรนายก” or not?
I believe it maybe just to make it into the proper name.
Another example is "มหาวิทยาลัยมหาจุฬาลงกรณราชวิทยาลัย" (university for monks) it was pronounced "Ju-laa-long-korn" as "จุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย."
Though it might just be my guesswork but if that the case, then it should be pronounced like this (sorry I'm not good at transcription)

“Sa-won-wa-ra-naa-yok” Or “Sa-won-war/wor-ra-naa-yok” (both are right.)

It combined three words together “สวรรค์,” “วร” and “นายก”
Another example is the name of that temple, “วัดสวรรคาราม” It was combined by the two words, “สวรรค์” + “อาราม”

As Khun Montyb has explained -- It combined three words together “สวรรค์,” “วร” and “นายก”, when words are combined, the silence mark above ค has to leave out and you have to pronounce the last consonant as one separate syllable, that's where the extra "kha" came from.

Obviously, I haven't read thoroughly enough! I somehow missed the glaring red ค, ค์ in your posts, montyb.
So, the Silence mark must be left out when you combine two words. So it's ค Instead of ค์. And then you must pronounce the 'kha'.
