ใฝ่ผจญ” can be a good choice for "fighting spirit".

Fighting spirit can have 3 meanings in English.
It can mean, as Nan has translated it, a spirit or ghost that fights.
A 2nd meaning is if a person is seriously ill but refuses to be defeated by the disease we might say they have a fighting spirit. In this case then the word น้ำใจ might fit the word spirit better.
A 3rd meaning might be to do with a person who is always looking out for a fight. Seems to be in his nature to fight with people. We might say he has a fighting spirit. This may be the meaning of Pirin's translation.

Maybe the OP can tell us what he means by a fighting spirit.

ใฝ่ผจญ” is used metaphorically to describe the one who constantly braves the obstacle or the difficulty in life.

This can also be used to describe soldiers in duty that are hardly overwhelmed with either expected or unexpected confrontations.

Well thats what I search! "the one who constantly braves the obstacle or the difficulty in life."

Is the translation 100% correct? :)

Oh and thank you for your replies! :D

Because there are several ways to say, "fighting spirit" in Thai, I choose “ใฝ่ผจญ” because I want it to mean, "constantly brave the obstacle or the difficulty" and because it's going to appear on your skin.

This is to say that this phrase is well selected.

Surely วิญญาณนักสู้ is "the soul of a fighter".

Yes I missed the word นัก. But I was concentrating on the word 'spirit' which to my mind doesn't mean spirit in the sense of a soul or ghost but rather an attitude.

Well, if you translate it literally it might mean so. But for Thais, this phrase is used in the meaning of 'one who is not easy to give up when face with difficult obstacles or opponents, one who has the willingness to compete or to do things which are difficult.

Ex.

From Dr.Wit Thai-English dictionary:

วิญญาณ (วิน-ยาน) (win-yahn)
(., .) ความรู้สำนึก, ความรู้แจ้ง, ความรู้สึกตัว, ความคิด, ความในใจ, จิต, ใจ, สิ่งที่สิงอยู่ในร่างกายของคน ถือกันว่าสิงอยู่ในตนทำให้เป็นบุคคลขึ้น เมื่อร่างกายเปื่อยเน่าแล้วก็ยังอยู่ต่อไป. n. P. soul, mind, spirit, consciousness, knowledge, enlightenment.
