Android (HTC G2)

Postby JingJo Thames » Mon Aug 22, 2011 9:47 pm

Hello All,

I have Thai functionality on my phone - can browse, input, and read Thai no problem (even SMS from other mobile phones). however, whenever I type Thai in an SMS to send to someone they see boxes or a string of asterisks ("*"). Anyone have any idea what this could be?

I have used both Man Man Thai Keyboard (แม่น แม่น) and DroidSans.

Thanks!

Do you mean, send to someone with a Thai phone? You certainly can't show Thai characters without installing the font.

The recipients of the messages are in the US (as am I currently) but they obviously have Thai functionality on their phones as they can send me messages in Thai (which I receive displayed properly on my phone).
