Hello All,
I would like to tell you about my experience learning with Narisa Naropakorn. I am a native English speaker aiming to speak Thai fluently with my wife and her family. After studying on my own for several years, I thought it would be more efficient to work with a teacher. I looked into the different options and decided that Skype lessons would be the best. Fortunately, Narisa was available. I have not been disappointed.
Narisa has a deep understanding of English. She can anticipate and quickly correct the mistakes that English speakers make when learning Thai. She is also very good at explaining how words translate between English and Thai.
Narisa's teaching style is fun and agile. She is not strict about following a textbook or course outline and can take the lessons in new directions to keep them interesting. Her sense of humor makes the lessons fun and dampens the frustration of trying to learn a language. I've rarely enjoyed sitting through any kind of lesson, but the time with Narisa is enjoyable and I always look forward to the next lesson. She is also good at offering words of encouragement that help keep me motivated.
I've had 12 lessons so far. During this time, I've become comfortable reading the common characters of Thai script, which I could not do before. I'm even starting to recall some characters' consonant classes and tone rules from memory. My speaking is becoming more fluid because I spend less time thinking in between words. I've also added many new words to my vocabulary.
I think 1-on-1 Skype lessons are the most efficient way to learn. You can have 100% of the teacher's attention in the comfort of your home. Narisa is very experienced and skilled in teaching this way. I recommend Skype lessons with Narisa to anyone who wants to learn Thai language.
PM me if you would like to know more.
