Intensive Beginner to Intermediate Thai Course

Postby amberjets » Sat Jul 25, 2015 5:40 pm

Hello everyone!

After graduating from high school next year, I will be taking a gap year in Thailand and southeast Asia, however something I would really like to do is learn how to fluently speak (read and write) Thai. Although I have a Thai passport and my mother is Thai, I have never lived in Thailand or learnt how to write, read, or speak fluently enough - kind of embarrassing... But for these reasons, I would like to learn Thai during some of my gap year before heading off to university!
I am very keen on taking an intensive (very intensive) course as I want to be able to talk fluently with my extended family and because I like to learn languages!
So I was wondering if any of you could suggest schools or university courses that I could take which would not be over an entire year (preferably in 6 months or less) and be very intensive (that will significantly improve my Thai) and of good quality (and not too expensive)! Also, I would like to study in either Hua Hin or Bangkok.

Hope to hear from you soon! :D
