Looking for thai language teacher for afternoon lessons BKK

Postby farangfarang » Tue Oct 27, 2009 6:08 am

I'm living in the Pinklao area of Bangkok. I would like to study thai for 2 hours a day monday to friday, around 3 pm - 5 pm.

I have some basic reading/writing/speaking/listening skills, not very advanced. I want to study formally and thoroughly.

Ideally I would like someone to come to my home in Pinklao to teach me. Skype lessons may also be ok. I havent used Skype for language learning before, I would have to try it to see if it works for me, but I can consider Skype.

If anyone is available to teach me during those times, could you please message me? If you could let me know your experience/qualifications, and what your rate would be, I would appreciate it.

Thank you

Hi. I'm an online student of Narisa's and I just wanted to post a recommendation for her teaching services. I have been a student of Narisa’s for about 8 months. I initially found her contact information on this site and when I read the rave reviews from her other students about Narisa's Thai language lessons, I decided to try it out. Since I have started my lessons, I feel that my Thai language skills have improved significantly! Before studying with Narisa, I would feel nervous when I was having a conversation in Thai and would wonder if I was using the right tones or if I could even be understood when I spoke. Narisa’s unique style of teaching has helped me improve my vocabulary and boost my confidence when speaking Thai. I have received many compliments from my Thai friends, who have said that they have noticed a real difference in my speaking abilities. Narisa explains the Thai tones, grammar, and sentence structure in a way that is easy to understand, and is also very fun and engaging. We use Skype for our lessons and I feel I get a chance to practice not only speaking and listening in Thai, but since we use the chat-box, I can also practice writing and reading too. Also, Narisa has her students keep a journal in Thai as a sort of homework excercise and this has proven to be a fun and interesting way for me to be able to better use Thai to describe my everyday experiences. I would highly recommend Narisa to anyone serious about taking their Thai language skills to the next level!

Hi farangfarang,

Honestly, I won't be able to be a teacher for you.
However, I can be your friend so that you can practise your Thai language in daily life.
I can call you, or we can hang out together sometimes.
I usually be around Siam, so if you come here, you can tell me.
We can excahnge language from each other.
