I just had a look at เอา in the Mary Haas dictionary. It is very instructive as it contains compounds and idioms, even though the compounds would normally appear elsewhere in the dictionary (their initial constants are not "o ang").

Thanks again everyone!
Just to update all those Mac users. I didn't have any luck using the Windows programs on my Mac using Wine (a program that lets you run .exe files on a Mac), but I imagine it would work if you have Parallels, etc.

Such a pity that there aren't any options out there for Macs. If only I could download the Longdo dictionary.
Be well,
Marc

Well, you could have downloaded the Mary Haase dictionary, but it's your choice.

@pensive
I did download the Mary Haas .pdf, but it seemed like there was a debate on whether or not the Mary Haas dictionary is still useful these days. I still use it (along with a couple other resources), however, I was looking for something like a program or a searchable pdf (not just scans/photos of pages). Better than nothing, but not exactly what I was looking for.

As far as a Thai-Thai dictionary program that can be used on a Mac - I still haven't found one.
