"จะมีความสุขทั้งวัน มันจะได้ไหม หืมม"

Your responses will be greatly appreciated. ;)

Fairly literally:

Will have happiness the whole day -- can have or not? Hmmm....

Here's another attempt.
"จะมีความสุขทั้งวัน มันจะได้ไหม หืมม"

~ "I can just be happy all day, can't I? Hmm."

(I have no idea whether we can say, "I'll just be happy all day, can't I? Hmm." or not.) :-(

As there is no pronoun in Thai, maybe it could be :

will it really be possible to be happy all day ? Hmm...

"จะมีความสุขทั้งวัน มันจะได้ไหม หืมม" can be one of the ways the speaker expresses what he or she wishes.

To be happy all day long (จะมีความสุขทั้งวัน), is it possible (มันจะได้ไหม) ?? I wonder … (หืมม)
“Can’t I” implies it should be true (even if it happens not to be).

It seems the speaker is pondering the question open-mindedly.

For “Can’t I?”, could we possible say:
มันจะเป็นไปไม่ได้(กับฉัน)หรอกหรือ (implying it at least ought to be possible, whether or not it actually is)

Native speakers, please weigh in!

"จะมีความสุขทั้งวัน มันจะได้ไหม หืมม" implies that the speakers actually does want to be happy all day long; however, unexpected obstacles happen to arise.

Therefore, the speaker wishes the opposite situation.

"มันจะเป็นไปไม่ได้(กับฉัน)หรอกหรือ" is grammatically correct, but is not commonly said; it is the inherited meaning of "มันจะได้ไหม" or even "ได้ไหม" though.

In a nutshell. :geek:
I know that จะ is covered in 'can have' (haven't yet so must be future), but new learners want to see the words I think.
What about; have happiness entire day; will get or not (get) hmm!
ไหม มาจาก (comes from) หรือไม่ - this is also useful for new learners; better than 'question word' particle etc. :)

When you say that "the speaker *wishes* the opposite situation," do you possibly mean that she *anticipates* the opposite situation (since unexpected obstacles happen to arise from to time to time) ?
