Does anyone know the correct Thai translation for "Pro Consul" (as in a specific job title for a Consular official)? Since I don't really know what the difference is between the duties of an Consul, Vice Consul or Pro Consul I'm a bit stuck. I'd appreciate your suggestions/help.
RID offers these consular ranks in it's definition of กงสุล:
My educated guesses at translations are:
กงสุลใหญ่ -> Consul-General
กงสุล -> Consul
รองกงสุล -> Vice Consul???
Consul's Representative. Maybe Pro Consul???
Could anyone confirm or correct these translations? If so, a link or other reference to your source material would be great for future use.
Many thanks,
Mark
