Having another try with the football news, this time with the build up to the Chelsea Barca game.

Having real problems with the headline. Can't understand how these 3 words go together: หลังพิงฝา. Separately they mean behind, lean against and lid.
Then there is the word ตัดเชือก which according to the RID means: ตัดความสัมพันธ์. This word also appears in the 1st line of the article and goes with the word รอบ to describe which round it is. It is the 2nd leg of the semi final. Could it mean the "make or break" or "last chance saloon" round to use English expressions?

My take on the 1st para of the story: ศึกยูฟ่าแชมเปียนส์ลีก รอบตัดเชือก นัดที่สอง บาร์เซโลน่าเปิดคัมป์นู เจอ เชลซี หลังจากนัดแรกแพ้หวุดหวิด เกมนี้ต้องชนะสถานเดียว จึงจะมีโอกาสเข้าชิง จะทำได้หรือไม่ แฟนบอลรอลุ้น
In the Champions league semi final 2nd leg Barcelona are at home in the Nou Camp to Chelsea. After narrowly losing the 1st leg this match must be won............................ football fans wait to cheer them on.

As you can see I get lost towards the end. Would appreciate some help.

Though still very much a beginner at this reading football reports in Thai, I saw หลังพิงฝา as backs to the wall as I think ฝา can also mean wall.

Barca do seem to "have their back to the wall"

Oh this is fun!

เพียงสถานเดียว = only one possible sentence
โทษสถานเบา = light punishment > โทษสถานหนัก = heavy punishment

So that I think that "must-win game" is fine, but there is no relation to "game at home"
รอลุ้น = to wait eagerly (for the victory)

Some words I am not sure about:
เทียบบารมี literally compare the prestige or put alongside the prestige.
พลพรรค literally 'partisan, friends, gang. Chose charges as it a more sporting term.
การดวลจุดโทษ literally dueling at the penalty spot. Couldn't find this in any dictionaries.
อันเป็นเอกลักษณ์ I am thinking this describes the bus and not the parade.

Some great new vocab for me. Any suggestions on alternative translations are welcome.
