Oh! I must be really too old. I have no idea that ผัว/เมีย is routinely used on F/B and in chat-sa-peak thai almost 100% of the time.
Anyway, it's worth to mention that it's still really impolite. What I mean by impoliteness is you should not use it with someone who are not familiar with. And on public forum, there are always some readers who don't know you, right?
Suffice to say that whoever use ผัว/เมีย, กู/มึง on public forum, it's only mean they don't know what a good manner is. And (sorry to say this, but it's true) that only means they are uneducated or illiterate. So, please be aware about this.
