i see that in conversation เเล้ว is sometimes shortened to เเละ

can it be shortened in every circumstance??

e.g I've heard it used in

คุณกลับบ้านเเละหรอ

คุณทำเเละหรอ

เเล้วเจอกัน เเละเจอกัน

can ผมทำเเล้ว be shortened to ผมทำเเละ it feels too abrupt to me, does it always have to be followed by a question particle
and ผมกินเเล้ว be shortened to ผมกินเเละ
ผมดูเเล้ว ผมดูเเละ

also this example
อยูไหนอ่ะ
อยู่ทำงานเเล้ว อยู่ทำงานเเละ

Probably I shouldn't get my self into this, but no one else does, so I try, I will sure learn something from it.

I'm not sure of what you mean, but I think you mean oral conversation not written. Am I right? Because if it's written conversation there is no shortening at all.

Do you mean ละ?

"short เเล้ว" occure for example when people rapidly say ก็แล้วกัน gaaw laaeow gan and เเล้ว sounds like "la" gaaw la' gan but I don't know about เเละ.

ผมทำเเล้ว and ผมกินเเล้ว are these questions?

"อยูไหนอ่ะ" short for อยู่ไหนเนี่ย, isn't this "a" ladyboy talk:-). ไปไหน(อ่ะ), เท่าไร(อ่ะ) and so on.

not sure if it is ladyboy talk lol that is another problem most of the group i hang around with are girls and gay guys so i will end up using ending particles and phrases only to be told what you told me. it's learning thai the embarrassing way but i have no choice lol

laeo can be shortened to lae as i was told by khun nan in one of my old posts

It's supposed to be "เอ่อ ดีและ" which is from "เออ ดีแล้ว" - Ok, that's good.

wish there was a full glossary of words and ending particles that told you if they masculine or feminine

Hee..you missunderstod, I ment this short "a" after for "nia". Well as I thought, I learned something new again!

Yes, it can be shortened in colloquial speech or chatting. But, you should not try to use it in formal situation.

hee...yes I wasn't really serious about it, but isn't it that kinde of "swing" at the end that many thai have when ending word with ไ, like "aia", or have I missunderstand.
