In English we say a song is "stuck in our head", but in Thai they say it is "stuck in their ear", ติดหู. I believe the thai-language dot com reference to the compound phrase doesn't reflect this.
The teacher said Thais use ติดหู because you hear a song with your ears first before it becomes "stuck" and starts playing like a background theme over and over in your mind.
I dunno really, but it does sound like a plausible explanation. . .
