When I saw this I thought of how we might say in English "Giving it the large" Not sure well known this expression is but some of my friends use it to mean talking a lot and exaggerating a lot in their speech.

I have another question about the above translation. I see แม่ has been translated as 'she'. I am trying to read a trashy romance novel after it has been suggested on these forums and they use the word 'แม่' quite a lot. I originally thought it meant their mother until I got the context right and realised it was the girl they are pursuing. Is this a quite common way to say 'she'?

Ah, it was my fault. I meant mother not she. In general case, แม่ is translated as mother. If you want to refer to she, we often use แม่นี่ or แม่นั่น instead of แม่ alone.

Thanks for that clarification, ttthai.

When I first saw this sentence, I thought that you were using the interjection "แหม" (http://www.thai-language.com/id/143238) as in, "แหม พูดใหญ่เลย" [Boy, (she) sure talks up a storm!]. Could this be what was intended?

I think you are using the wrong tone mark Starscream, ttthai used mai ek to say it with a falling tone.
