Translation for tattoo?

Postby Upandaway » Mon Jul 21, 2014 12:11 pm

Hi everyone, I was wondering if someone could help? I would really like "I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then" tattooed in Thai if it is at all possible? Or something somilar that makes sense in Thai? Any help much appreciated :)

excuse me, you want to say, you cant not return to the past because you are not the same as you was, new you?
did i get right?

so you need more choices.
tattoo must be cool words, short but complete, and it's not easy to change after you have done
let me give you some my idea. I love to create :D :D :D

1. ไม่อาจย้อนคืนวัน เพราะฉันไม่ใช่คนเก่า
you are not the same as you was so you cant go back though night or day, เพราะฉันไม่ใช่คนเก่า
คนเก่า/ คนเดิม is a favorite shot phrase in Thai songs to tell that you was different, you changed.

2. เกินกว่าจะหวนคืน เมื่อฉันเป็นอื่นไปแล้ว or เกินกว่าจะหวนคืน เพราะฉันเป็นอื่นไปแล้ว
too far to get back, your change your new way, or you belong to someone else already,
(sorry girl you too late.) เพราะฉันเป็นอื่นไปแล้ว it's general found in songs too.

3. วันวานไม่หวนคืน เพราะฉันเป็นอื่นไปแล้ว
similar with the second one. but เกินกว่าจะหวนคืน indicate you can not go back even though you want to.
วันเวลาไม่หวนคืน time never come back, please accept the truth, and you found your new way or met a new girlfriend.

hope this helps.      :D :D :D :D :D :D

Sukiyaki,

If the person who is getting the tattoo is a man, should he replace ฉัน with ผม in your sentences ?

I like when a man call himself ผม Sound both a handsome word and polite.
but in tattoo I haven't seen much ผม
except... ผมรักคุณ ;)

Pirin, I will run anything I see here past my thai friend so you've only wasted your own time.

Thanks for the other replies. I am a girl by the way. Yes I like the first one, it does mean sort of I have changed , I am not the same as I used to be etc.

Khun Pirin,

"สายน้ำไม่มีวันไหลกลับ = the river of no return."

Is this the Thai equivalent of Heracles's "You cannot step twice into the same river"?
