ผูกใจ

Postby daฟาน » Wed Feb 01, 2012 10:26 pm

i only found:

ผูกใจเจ็บ - to have it in for someone; to intend or be determined to harm

to have it in for someone = to dislike someone? to treat him in a hostile way? I haven't heard this collocation/phrasal verb/combination before (sry i'm not a linguist :D)

the sentence where I found ผูกใจ was the following:

การที่คนต่างแผ่นดินได้รู้จักกัน ผูกใจกันนั้น

can someone help me out on this sentence?

I don't think it's meant in a hostile way... and ผูก itself means - to bind / to attach right?

ผูกใจเจ็บ = to have/hold a grudge against someone

ผูกใจกัน ~ ties = the friendly feelings that people have for other people, or special connections with places
