I'd suggest giving a pass to suggestion "toffeeman" offered out for your surname. .. It doesn't yield the correct pronunciation. If you spell it like they suggested;
เสตาท์ it is pronounced more like saehR dtaaM.
If you use the one by "insayt";
สเตาท์, you get saL dtaoM, which is closer but still has no stop final on the end, because of the garan'd
ท์.
I "Googled"; "
เบียร์ stout" and got this from a Thai website;
สเต๊าท์ เบียร์ (stout beer), although the wikipedia page about stout beer in Thai lists it spelled as
สเตาท์.
Either of those is gonna get close to your surname in Thai. It's just personal preference how you want it to sound;
สเตาท์ like saL dtaoM or
สเต๊าท์ like saL dtaoH.
What you're not gonna get is the blending of the "St" like we do in English, because those two consonants don’t “blend” together in Thai. The "S" (
ส) hasta have an "a" (
ะ) with it. Even common loanwords from English in Thai like Stop, Stamp come out as Sa-top, sa-tamp automatically.
Your first name isn't gonna pose all that much problem for Thais to spit out, and even this forum's website has the name;
แซนดร้า saaenM draaF (although there is a note; "Double consonant combination
ดร is transcribed as 'DR'. This is usually only the case for loanwords from other languages such as English. Some Thais may pronounce it as
ดะ-
ร-")
