Tone wrong in ตำหมากหุ่ง?

Tl.com states that the tone in หุ่ง is L. I guess this is wrong. Rather, the term should read

ตำหมากฮุ่ง, and tone, accordingly, R (siang tho)?

Correct? Opinions?
---------------------------------------------------------------------
Edit: ตำหมากฮุ่ง, and tone, accordingly, F (siang tho)?

For a great video see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6d20o7ufACY . For how to make see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zee0Gc7G8uA

Thomas,

1. Are you asking about the spelling?

2, Just a general question. Are you saying that "เสียงโท" is a rising tone?

Thanks.

Would read that as mak hung, even tone?! Richard: Lao tone rules???

Edit:
No: falling, เสียงโท

It is difficult to understand this post, and subsequent posts are even more confusing.

There is nothing wrong with tones in the link.
ตำหมากหุ่ง Thumb, index finger, index finger/common, 1st,1st/ mid,low,low.

So to clarify the post:
Are you saying that in Laos they say ฮุ่ง and that Isaan people (should/most likely) follow the Lao pronunciation?

In Isan spelling (sic) I see ตำหมากฮุ่ง (= siang tho) as often as ตำหมากหุ่ง (siang ek). In Lao, however, it is not written with "ฮอ" เรือน but, rather, with หอ ห่าน. If so, I have no clue why Wiki states

"(Lao: ຕໍາໝາກຫຸ່ງ, Lao pronunciation: [tàm.ma᷆ːk.hūŋ])" I understand this as mid/neutral tone.

Richard!!!! ?

I think that one can be too pedantic. If หมากหุ่น can be separated then หุ่น or ฮั่น is the Isaan word for ละกอ not มะละกอ, but since Isaan doesn't appear to have a lexicon who can say?
Does Wikipedia have any more authority than this site? I get the impression that even I could make a contribution to Wikipedia; on reflection perhaps that isn't a bad idea, people may at least listen in that case!

Thx! Your hint was decisive:

http://www.isangate.com/word/isandict.html

papaya.

So, let's assume that หุ่ง is correctly spelled with หอ ห่าน but not with ฮอ เฮีอน. So, Tl.com will be right - and I've to apologize for having raised my question.

In most Lao and Isaan dialects, there is no (longer a) tone split of old tone B (mai ek) according to the (old) initial consonant. There are some dialects that preserve a distinction, most notably Khon Sawan and, should you wish to consider it one of them, the dialect of Korat.
