April 24, 2013 Please take a moment to notice the updated list of donors on the left
side of the screen. This section acknowledges people who have contributed to the maintenance
and operation costs of the site. I apologize for falling behind in keeping this list updated
so I've now tried to catch up with the past months' backlog. A collective "Thank you" to
all these benefactors! -Glenn

February 5, 2013 In case you happen to have noticed the annoyingly frequent site
outages over the past 5 months, I'm happy to announce that the problem, apparently
caused by a bug in the version 4.5 update of the .NET operating system library, may now be fixed.
Since applying a just-released patch,
the site has been running for several days with no sign of the (previously chronic) freezing-up.
Although I was pretty sure that the upgrade from 4.0 to 4.5 had caused the problem, I couldn't easily
revert the site to the previous version because this website shares lots of code with my
ongoing analytical grammar project, a project
which had quickly asserted dependencies on new features only available in .NET 4.5. Anyway,
all's well that ends well and I thank you for your patience over the past months!
January 28, 2013 Please enjoy the new intermediate-level reading exercise, MOE eliminates crew-cut requirements.
December 9, 2012 Again we thank David for preparing new content. This update includes
“Green Germany Sees Results; [Germany] Exports Record-breaking Amounts of Electricity”, A Moral Lesson, Responsibilities and Duties Between a Husband and Wife, The Problematic Stadium (translation by Rick Bradford), and Trends in Longevity.
David is also commander-in-chief for the ongoing battle against forum spammers. I know
everyone who visits the site really appreciates the huge effort that this requires.
Thanks David!
