This is a colloquial translation, not literal. Also, I am not a native speaker of Thai.

(somebody's, no subject specified) words are just a waste of spit. They go in one ear, out the other.

If เปลืองนำ้ลาย is to "waste saliva" I take it that ป่าว (เปล่า) isa วิเศษณ์ none left? so is it always a good idea when talking of wasting something to add เปล่า?
ไปไหนอ่ะ ไปไหนล่ะ are they the same? showing that this is asked?
