We walk in on a pile of ashes

I think that this is the Buddhist equivalent of "For dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return.” Genesis 3:19 or as the Thais often describe life as "เกิด แก่ เจ็บ ตาย".

Thank you both for your contributions, especially Pirin, it must have taken some time to write and to match the immutable aspects of life to Buddhism.
Is your name written ภิรินย์ ?
As David’s post shows there are other ways of interpreting the ‘original’ which you have posted.

I remember someone telling me เกิดเจ็บภ่วยตาย. I might have remembered that wrongly because from your post Pirin, I would be tempted to say เกิดสุขทุกข์เจ็บภ่วยตาย
The subject of my post came to me via Line from the golf group so I wasn’t sure whether it was serious or not.
I don’t see กำลังเดินไป...กองฟอน why กำลัง . I took กำลัง to mean having the strength to go through life the consequence of which is destruction. (Pollution?)
Naturally not everyone will obtain the same impression, David’s เดินย่างเท้า says ‘step into ashes’ what then, do ashes represent?
Pirin, Does your clip say in ไม่ประมาส , think of the consequences of what you do in life?

I hope that I am not thinking too much but I prefer the enigmatic versions where few words say different things to different people. Shakespeare and the King James bible are like that.

I have just thought of an amusing aspect of ไม่ต้องแสวงหา I wonder if it means don’t try to contradict me, or these are truths and beyond question.

On the subject of different people seeing things differently, I said to a friend เกิดบน กองดิน and he continued with หากินบนกองทราย and said that it described คนจน คนลำบาก
All the mystery comes from me thinking that language has to be researched when one can get by without it. He said that few people will understand กองฟอน and that the RID was to Thai as the OED is to English. This is far from a convincing argument to me because I don't find the OED to be irrelevant even though my copy, actually the short version, The Concise Oxford Dictionary was presented to me as a school prize in 1964 !
