May 30, 2003 12:00 PM by Glenn Slayden   XML Tests

After much battling with XML components, specifically WINHTTP5, MSXML 4.0, etc., I managed to get the dynamic "Now Online" status panel working. This XML proof-of-concept demonstrates

  • dynamically generating the text/xml MIME type from an ASP file having a non-'.xml' extension
  • client-pull Java timer applet
  • client-side XMLDOM load
  • site control panel configuration, including reporting/downloading of required/installed components
  • other support code, etc., all coordinated in the new personal site control panel.

I like it.

May 29, 2003 12:00 PM by Glenn Slayden   Site Control Panel!

Released version 1.0 of the site control panel, including color schemes, audio link method, hoverdefs on/off, auto-caret, and now-online privacy.

Created the 'gridtable' CSS style, which reduces the HTML download size for large HTML tables.

Fixed BSTR memory leak in ProcessFormattingA.

May 27, 2003 12:00 PM by Glenn Slayden   Certain Spelling Exceptions

Wrote a reference section on a spelling exceptions. Fixed some transliterations. Added a few entries.

May 19, 2003 12:00 PM by Glenn Slayden   Certain Tone Rule Exceptions

Wrote a reference section on a tone rule exception.

May 18, 2003 12:00 PM by Glenn Slayden   Crude TIS-620 Converter App

Wrote the downloadable "Crude TIS-620 to/from Unicode Converter" application. It's a program to explicitly convert between TIS-620 Thai text and Unicode. Use it to copy/paste those pesky Thai emails that look like gobbledygook into other applications, or copy text out of older Thai applications which use the old 8-bit fonts. Click here for more information.
