Added the new tone rule summary table.

Added a cookie management feature.

October 3, 2003 12:57 AM by Glenn Slayden   New Forum; new entries

Numerous miscellaneous new entries and corrections created and edited by myself, now 24689 entries.

Created the new message board category Thai-English Translation. As Bryan so eloquently notes:

"The Thai Words Forum deals with the aspects of words, morphemes and orthography. The Thai Grammar Forum focuses on the Thai grammar, principle, structure, part of speech, syntax, punctuation and usage... Another T-E & E-T Translations Forum will help season it all up, making the message boards all-rounded and plenary. If the message boards are prepared dishes, Thai Words Forum discusses the raw materials; Thai Grammar, cooking utensils; and the proposed forum, the recipes and techniques.

"Translation is a truly fascinating art form, and the art of translation has many fascinating uncharted areas to explore, for instance: interpretation, translation theories, translated literature/work criticism, bilingualism, language acquisition, cultural issues associated with translation, translation as a profession, translating various types of texts (literature, poems, song lyrics, newspaper and magazine columns, manuals), common mistakes in translation, etc."

Couldn't have said it better myself.

By the way, I finally (and reluctantly) upgraded my development tools from Visual C++ 6.0 to Visual Studio .NET. Everything seems to build fine, but there are a lot of annoying little problems lingering. I hope that I will be able to bend this new tool to my will.
