RID "App"

Postby David and Bui » Thu Sep 10, 2015 11:15 am

Another announcement from the Royal Institute:

"Royal Institute

The Royal Institute Dictionary, version 2554, will be available as a 'smart-phone App' through a download on September 21st, 2558 (2015) in iOS, Android, and Windows formats.

This application will be an "off-line" app, that is it will not be necessary that the user be connected to the Internet in order to be able to look up words and their meanings. The application will use about 130 megabytes of memory on the user's telephone. Don't forget to clear sufficient space on your device."

Congratulations to the Royal Institute and Lexitron! The iPhone dictionary App is now available for download at the App store and it is absolutely free. There are two Apps: the dictionary app and the spelling and reading App, the electronic version of "อ่านอย่างไร เขียนอย่างไร". You can access these programs by typing "The Royal Society" in the Store site.

The Royal Society site states that the programs are available for iOS 7 and 8, Android, and Windows Mobile. (I cannot find the application for the Windows 10 store.)

Please let us know if you have any difficulty with these downloads or using them on your phone.
