[นาม]	ชื่อสัตว์ไม่มีกระดูกสันหลังในวงศ์ Hirudinidae ตัวยืดได้คล้ายทาก ชอบเกาะคนหรือสัตว์เพื่อดูดกินเลือด มีหลายชนิด เช่น ชนิด Hirudo medicinalis, Hirudinaria manillensis.
[นาม]	วัตถุสำหรับยึดเกาะให้แน่น.
ปลิง ๒ /ปฺลิง/
[นาม]	ชื่องูน้ำชนิด Enhydris plumbea ในวงศ์ Colubridae ตัวยาวประมาณ ๔๐ เซนติเมตร สีเขียวอมเทา ท้องขาว สามารถดีดตัวแทนการเลื้อยไปได้ในระยะสั้นๆ มีพิษอ่อนมาก.

[นาม]	ขั้วผลไม้ติดต่อกับก้าน โดยมากเป็นขั้วทุเรียนที่หลุดจากกันได้, ปากปลิง ก็เรียก.
