[นาม]

เครื่องเข้ากระบวนแห่ในการพระราชพิธีบางอย่างเช่นรับช้างเผือกหรือแรกนาขวัญเป็นต้น รูปเป็นชั้นของฉัตร มีคันถือคล้ายร่ม, โบราณใช้เป็นร่มเครื่องยศคู่กันกับคานหามตามบรรดาศักดิ์ มีชั้นตามที่หุ้มผ้าแดงหรือหุ้มผ้าขาวโรยทอง เรียกว่า พื้นกำมะลอ, ถ้ามีริ้วขาวและน้ำเงินสลับกันที่ระบาย เรียกว่า กรรชิงเกล็ด, กระชิง หรือ กระฉิ่ง ก็เรียก เช่น กระชิงหุ้มผ้าแดงได้แต่หลานหลวงอยู่ในวัง อยู่นอกวังกระชิงหุ้มผ้าขาวเลว. (กฎมนเทียรบาล).
